Job Title: Wellness Instructor
Department: Club Events

Status: Seasonal PT

Reporting To:  Club Events & Youth Programming Manager


Position Overview:


Position Summary: The Wellness Instructor will lead and support a variety of movement and mindfulness-based experiences for Powder Haven members. This role includes facilitating group fitness, yoga, and wellness classes, as well as offering private or at-request sessions tailored to members' needs. The ideal candidate is passionate about inspiring healthy, balanced lifestyles and fostering a supportive, inclusive community in a luxury club setting and is certified in one or multiple types of instruction (yoga, meditation, sound bath, tai chi, pilates, HIIT, etc.) This person brings energy, professionalism, and deep care to every interaction.


Key Responsibilities:

  • This role focuses on motivating members, ensuring safety during workouts, and fostering a supportive community environment
  • The instructor will exemplify the company's core values and deliver high-quality fitness instruction while promoting class participation and retention
  • Prepare the room and greet members on time for classes
  • Safely and accurately demonstrate exercises and movements while monitoring class performance
  • Execute post-class procedures including cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing the environment
  • Be approachable, professional, and engaging, providing excellent customer service to members
  • Communicate clearly and teach safe, effective classes with options for various fitness levels
  • Create an inclusive, fun, and supportive community within classes
  • Actively promote classes to retain and invite new participants
  • Support with coordination of private and at-request classes and sessions in members homes
  • Ensure the highest level of professionalism 
  • Foster community and culture with our membership, ensuring a luxury experience in all member interactions
  • Coordinate and support closely with our Events team
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements and/or Qualifications:

  • Experience teaching group fitness, yoga, and/or wellness classes, up-to-date certifications
  • Ability to coach multiple members and manage time in a group setting
  • Positive and effective interpersonal communication skills with desire to motivate members
  • Knowledge of physiology, exercise technique and body mechanics
  • Having a willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
  • Individuals with multidisciplinary certifications or interests are preferred
  • Ability to work independently
  • CPR/First Aid/AED Required
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Physical Requirements:

  • Full range of body movements
  • Reach, push, pull, lift, and carry objects that may be heavy (25-40+lbs)
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and twisting
  • Walk on even/uneven/slippery terrain
  • Climb/descend stairs/ladders

Working Environment:

Working Environment: The Wellness Instructor will operate in a variety of settings including outdoors (lawns, beaches, decks, etc.) and indoor multi-purpose facilities or private homes  for a variety of class styles.

Salary Description
$27 - $37.50/hr
