The Associate Clinical Director plays a vital role in supporting the Clinical Director in managing the clinical operations of Alongside. The position involves providing direct supervision to clinical staff, implementing treatment plans for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related developmental disorders, and ensuring the effective and ethical delivery of ABA services. The Associate Clinical Director is a leadership position that helps drive the company's clinical goals and collaborates closely with other professionals to warrant the best outcomes for clients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
CLINICAL OVERSIGHT & SUPPORT
- Assist in overseeing the implementation of ABA treatment programs for clients, monitoring adherence to individualized treatment plans.
- Provide guidance, supervision, and mentoring to behavior technicians and other clinical staff.
- Conduct regular reviews of treatment plans and progress reports to contribute to the consistent quality of clinical services.
- Conduct or assist in client assessments and evaluations (e.g., Functional Behavior Assessments) and verify treatment plans are tailored to each client's needs.
SUPERVISION & TRAINING
- Provide clinical supervision to Behavior Technicians and other clinical staff, confirming they are professionally trained in implementing ABA interventions.
- Develop and execute training sessions on ABA principles, procedures, and company protocols.
- Support staff in acquiring and maintaining certification requirements (e.g., RBT, BCBA). COLLABORATION & COMMUNICATION
- Collaborate with the Clinical Director, Director of Clinical Operations, and external stakeholders (e.g., families, schools, and other healthcare providers) to maintain complete and ethical ABA care for clients.
- Maintain regular communication with families, providing updates on treatment progress and adjusting goals as needed.
Contribute to clinical meetings and case discussions.
QUALITY ASSURANCE & COMPLIANCE
- Check and verify that all clinical operations comply with company policies, ethical guidelines, and regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA, CPI).
- Monitor and evaluate clinical services to ensure high-quality delivery and adherence to ethical standards.
- Assist in conducting audits and preparing for regulatory inspections.
DATA ANALYSIS & REPORTING
- Oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data to track client progress and adjust treatment as needed.
- Support the Clinical Director in generating and presenting reports related to clinical outcomes, trends, and performance metrics.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Master's degree in Behavioral Analysis, Psychology, or a related field.
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification required.
- At least 2-3 years of clinical experience in an ABA therapy setting, including supervisory experience.
- Strong understanding of ABA principles, practices, and ethical standards.
- Experience with various clinical tools, assessments, and behavior management strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, families, and staff.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a dynamic work environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to sit, stand, and move as needed to supervise and engage with clients in therapy settings.
SCHEDULE
The Associate Clinical Director role is a full-time, exempt position.
WORK ENVIORNMENT
This position is in-person, with some occasional remote options (Telehealth).
