We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team and support our continued success.

Job Summary:

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing the financial health of the organization by performing and overseeing critical accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting compliance and internal controls. Work closely with Project Managers, VP of Finance, and Project Controllers to ensure financial transparency and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

· Prepare and review monthly financial statements and job cost reports

· Oversee general ledger activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations

· Provide support to HR to ensure accurate calculations of wages, benefits, and deductions

· Monitor construction project budgets and collaborate with project managers and controllers on cost tracking

· Maintain the integrity of financial data in Foundation accounting software

· Assist in cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning

· Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant tax regulations

· Coordinate and support audits, both internal and external

· Assist in improving accounting processes and internal controls

· Communicate regularly with Defy and Laux leadership teams regarding accounting matters

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

· 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry

· Strong understanding of job costing, work in process, and construction accounting principles

· Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel

· Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

· Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment

· High level of integrity and discretion

· Strong technical proficiency and demonstrated understanding of GAAP accounting principles
