Tool and Die Repair Technician
Description

 Overview 

The Tool and Die Repair Technician plays a crucial role in the production process by designing, constructing, repairing, and maintaining precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures used in manufacturing processes. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Perform preventive maintenance on tool assemblies 
  • Interpret technical drawings 
  • Perform minor and major repairs on punch press dies and machines 
  • Operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC equipment 
  • Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on tooling equipment. 
  • Collaborate with engineers and production personnel to troubleshoot and optimize tool performance. 
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace. 
  • Recommend improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity. 
Requirements

 Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or apprenticeship preferred. 
  • Proven experience as a Tool and Die Technician or similar role.  
  • Strong knowledge of machining processes, metalworking, and precision measurement. 
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. 
  • Proficiency in operating various machine tools and CNC equipment. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
Salary Description
$30-$35/hr
