What You Will Be Doing
 

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mitigation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping clients recover from damage caused by water, fire, mold, or other disasters. This role requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to work in various environments, and proficiency in using both power and hand tools. The Mitigation Technician will provide on-site coordination and assistance to the Field Personnel for all phases of construction projects. The Mitigation Technician will work closely with the Superintendent to ensure daily coordination, scheduling of the work, inspections, quality control, and job site safety is completed.  


Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Perform restoration tasks including stabilizing and cleaning affected areas of properties.
  • Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively.
  • Conduct mold remediation processes to ensure safe and healthy environments.
  • Participate in asbestos abatement as required by specific projects.
  • Assist with fire restoration efforts by removing damaged materials and restoring structural integrity.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout all restoration projects.
  • Communicate clearly with clients Superintendents, Assistants, and Project Managers regarding the restoration process and timelines.
  • Identify and communicate conflicts in construction progress to the project team for resolution.
  • Ensure that subcontractors are fully executing and complying with his/her contracted scope of work.
  • Perform job progress and completion punch list walks identifying and completing incomplete items.
  • Ability to manage time and follow instructions and schedules.
  • Delivering needed materials to jobsite in a timely fashion.
  • Opening the jobsite at the beginning of the day and securing the jobsite at the end of the day.
  • Physical labor is required to complete certain scopes of work.  These include but are not limited to carpentry, flooring, paint, drywall, site prep, light plumbing and electrical, etc.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in restoration and multi-family construction experience.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Detail-oriented, strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous experience in the restoration industry is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates.
  • Familiarity with power tools and hand tools used in construction or restoration settings is a plus.
  • Knowledge of mold remediation techniques, fire restoration practices, and asbestos abatement processes is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are highly valued.
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
  • Local travel is necessary with the possibility of regional travel.
  • M-F typically working 8am-5pm, 30-40 Hours per week. 
  • Must be able to work occasional nights/weekends.
