Description
Position Summary: Guide the branch office in providing quality service to members in account transactions, loan applications, and new accounts. Solves problems within established policies and guidelines. Maintains positive employee morale within the branch office.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Enforce the credit union’s policies and procedures and oversee staff training as necessary.
- Supervise branch employees and maintain personnel policy, exercising disciplinary measures when called for.
- Act as a loan officer, performing all necessary loan functions.
- Open and close IRA accounts, approve and process deposits and withdrawals.
- Opens and closes Certificates of Deposit, and calculates penalties for early withdrawal.
- Accepts and process wire transfers.
- Receive and process garnishments and other levies on members’ accounts.
- Service mortgage contracts/land contracts.
- Does ATM daily balancing, ATM troubleshooting as needed, including on-call availability. (in offices that have an ATM).
- Perform notary and signature guarantee duties.
- Prepare and administer employee performance evaluations.
- Counsel employees and review their performance on an ongoing basis.
- Approve and submit time cards, and distribute pay stubs and employee statements.
- Process and schedule universal time off requests.
- Set up payroll deductions.
- Approve checks and other transactions requiring supervisory approval.
- Answer telephones.
- Work to resolve member issues.
- Prepare verifications for members as requested.
- Balance checking accounts as requested by I.O.
- Maintain vault drawer as needed.
- Audit teller drawers, travelers’ checks and vault cash monthly or as requested for periodic audit.
- Assist with teller and office balancing daily as needed.
- Balance daily work and prepare deposits as needed.
- Research and correct teller errors.
- Sorts and distributes interoffice mail.
- Post, distribute and maintain required HR, loss prevention and management bulletins.
- Provide for staff education, training, and conduct staff meetings as necessary.
- Is responsible for the opening and the closing of the branch office according to required security procedures.
- Is responsible for the maintenance of the security system.
- Oversees the safety and the maintenance of the building and grounds.
- Maintain branch equipment, call for maintenance when needed, and recommend new or replacement items.
- Maintain statistical reports on branch activities as requested.
- Keep up on changes within the data processing and computer systems. Train and assist other branch employees on any changes.
- Attend management meetings monthly.
- Attend seminars and training programs as needed or requested.
- Act as a backup for all branch functions as needed.
- Ensure that member transactions are being reviewed for compliance with Bank Secrecy Act / Anti-Money Laundering / Office of Foreign Assets Control regulations and participate in annual training as required by the BSA/OFAC Compliance Officer.
- Performs other related duties or tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Skill in handling money and aptitude for detail work
- Ability to relate to people effectively.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Organizational and administrative skills
- Typing skill desirable with emphasis on accuracy.
- Dress and conduct oneself in a professional and business-like manner.
- College degree or equivalent experience.
- Previous supervisory, management or related experience desirable.
