Description
Day in The Life
- Support the sales team, with a “can do” attitude in reaching or exceeding monthly goals.
- A minimum of 25 outbound calls per day.
- Carrier sourcing and procurement, negotiate rates and track shipments.
- Establish and maintain carrier relationships to leverage the freight spend.
- Monitor on time service standards for carriers and provide accurate and timely reporting of issues.
- Emergency contact person for after hours. (It is a rotation)
- The above responsibilities and additional duties may vary as assigned.
Education/Work Experience
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- 1-year customer service experience.
- Logistics experience is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Self-Starter and highly motivated.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Attentive to detail and deadlines.
- Can work independently or with a team.
- Organized in a fast-paced work environment.
- Strong PC, phone skills and excellent customer service skills.
