About the role:
We are seeking a seasoned Executive Project Manager to lead mid- to large-scale commercial flooring projects from concept to completion. As the quarterback and primary face of project execution, you will take ownership of operations—coordinating with internal teams, subcontractors, and general contractors to ensure work is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You’ll oversee schedules, budgets, construction documentation, and serve as a trusted partner to clients, fostering clear communication and strong relationships to deliver a smooth, positive experience. This role is ideal for a proactive leader with construction expertise, sharp organizational instincts, and a strategic, solution-oriented mindset—someone who thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments and takes pride in driving results.
What you’ll do:
- Lead all phases of project execution—from initiation to closeout—across multiple mid- to large-scale commercial flooring projects.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
- Conduct regular job site visits to monitor progress, address field challenges, and strengthen relationships with subcontractors and GCs.
- Oversee all project financials, including budgeting, revenue forecasting, managing labor buyouts, billing, and processing change orders to ensure projects meet profitability goals and financial targets.
- Manage full document workflow—including submittals, ASIs, CCDs, work orders, and pick tickets—ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing.
- Interpret construction drawings and specifications to guide field execution, resolve discrepancies, and maintain alignment with project goals.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams—superintendents, warehouse teams, project coordinators, and sales—to ensure smooth project execution.
- Maintain proactive and transparent communication with clients and general contractors, managing expectations and fostering a positive customer experience.
- Utilize construction management software to track schedules, budgets, documentation, and performance metrics, supporting effective forecasting and planning.
- Oversee and support project team members by onboarding, mentoring, setting clear expectations, and providing ongoing guidance and feedback.
- Champion a culture of safety, teamwork, and operational excellence while upholding Elements’ policies and project standards.
Who you are:
- You have 3 to 5+ years of experience in commercial construction project management, preferably within general contracting, specialty trades, or flooring-related projects.
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field—or bring equivalent industry experience.
- You possess strong financial acumen, managing budgets, forecasting, change orders, and construction documentation with proven success.
- You are proficient with project management and construction software such as Procore, Bluebeam, BIM 360, OST, Structure, and Measure Square.
- You have proven experience as an installation manager or related project manager and have effectively led project teams.
- You have experience supervising or mentoring team members and enjoy fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- You communicate clearly and build strong relationships with clients and internal teams, collaborating seamlessly across departments.
- You stay highly organized and detail-oriented, excelling at time management to meet deadlines in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- You excel at analyzing problems, thinking critically, and making strategic, solution-oriented decisions while adapting quickly to change.
- You are eager to continuously learn, grow your skills, and share knowledge with your team, demonstrating strong initiative and autonomy.
- You have knowledge of installation systems, warranty processes, and interpreting construction drawings; a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar credentials are a plus but not required.
