MetaSource is seeking an experienced Learning & Development (L&D) contractor with a strong background in gamification and interactive training design. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing engaging, simulation-based training modules using gamified platforms or authoring tools. You will work independently on a per project basis and collaborate to translate training objectives into immersive, high-impact learning experiences that drive engagement, retention, and performance outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop interactive training programs using gamification principles (points, levels, simulations, branching scenarios, etc.).
• Suggest ways to gamify current training and learning programs.
• Convert complex content into dynamic learning experiences through storytelling, gameplay mechanics, and scenario-based learning.
• Collaborate with internal teams and SMEs to align training solutions with organizational goals.
• Provide guidance on best practices for gamification adult learning.
• Manage project timelines, feedback cycles, and deliverables independently.

• 5+ years of experience in instructional design, L&D, or eLearning development.
• Demonstrated experience creating gamified training, simulations, or serious games.
• Proficiency with one or more interactive learning tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Vyond, Unity, etc.).
• Strong understanding of adult learning theory, instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM), and gamification frameworks.
• Strong portfolio showcasing interactive and game-based training programs.
• Excellent project management, communication, and creative problem-solving skills.

Preferred Requirements

• Experience in industries such as BPM, healthcare, finance, tech, or compliance training.
• Knowledge of SCORM/xAPI and LMS deployment considerations.
• Experience with UI/UX design or graphic design is a plus.
