Truck Assembly Technician –
Location: Clio, MI | Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM | Occasional Overtime
We are hiring a skilled and motivated Truck Assembly Technician with a strong background in 12-volt electrical systems, light welding, vehicle system programming, and a working knowledge of hydraulic systems. Ideal candidates bring high mechanical aptitude, technical training, and a strong commitment to quality craftsmanship.
As part of our vehicle assembly team, you’ll play a vital role in modifying and customizing trucks to meet industry-specific and customer-driven requirements. This includes installing and wiring complex systems on utility trucks, cranes, bobtails, and other specialty vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
- Install and wire electrical components such as switches, relays, fuses, circuit breakers, and sensors
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical blueprints, and assembly diagrams
- Route and secure wiring harnesses along truck frames, chassis, and between axles
- Program and configure vehicle control modules using tablet-based interfaces
- Perform light welding and fabrication
- Support assembly and enhancement of hydraulic systems and mechanical components
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment
- Work in confined spaces and at elevated positions when necessary
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area; contribute to shop maintenance, inventory, and organization tasks
Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with 12-volt wiring, vehicle assembly, or mechanical systems
- Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematics
- Familiarity with hydraulic systems and mechanical integration
- High mechanical aptitude or completion of relevant vocational/technical training
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic tablets
- Valid driver’s license required
- Forklift experience preferred (training available)
- Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and time management
- Able to perform mathematical computations quickly and accurately
- Strong problem solving and documentation skills
