Elementary Coordinator
Description

Job Summary:

The Elementary Coordinator will assist the Elementary Director on and off-site as needed, as well as lead and oversee Elementary curriculum and volunteers.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Works with and assists Elementary Director.
  • Supervisor to elementary volunteers.
  • Provide elementary volunteers and classrooms with weekly curriculum.
  • Recruit and schedule all elementary volunteers.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the organization, promotion, implementation, and follow-up of special events including, but not limited to, Sunday mornings, Wednesday nights, VBS, Camp, and mission trips.
  • Work with Elementary Director in developing and implementing plans for elementary enlistment, recruitment, training, retention, and onsite coordination of summer programming including, but not limited to, VBS, camps, Family Nights, and other activities as needed.
  • Must be available to work a flex schedule encompassing Wednesday nights, Sunday morning services, as well as special ministry events throughout the year. 
  • Manage Sunday morning Elementary volunteers.
  • Plan and prepare alongside Elementary Director for elementary volunteer training.
  • Ensure all elementary volunteers have approved background checks and have completed volunteer onboarding checklist.
  • Assist in planning and preparation of ministry events on and off-site as needed.
  • Assist in preparing and ordering all marketing/print work needed for Elementary Ministry.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen as well as criminal and sexual misconduct background checks.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • High school degree required; college degree preferred.

Physical Requirements: 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up-to 25 pounds at a time.
  • The ability to work on site in the Green Acres offices.
