REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

1+ years with Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) or within the financial services industry, preferably in an operational capacity. Professional, direct written and verbal communication skills. 

Capable of utilizing RIA custodian systems, including Fidelity, Schwab, or Pershing, and Portfolio Accounting Systems, including Advyzon, Orion, Black Diamond, or Tamarac. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Ability to prioritize and work independently. 

Strong analytical skills. 

Detail-oriented. 

  


SUMMARY

On the tru Independence team, the Analyst I role provides day-to-day operations support to our clients as part of the Advisor Experience team. Analysts work closely with the Advisor Experience team and other internal staff to provide exceptional client relationship support, service, and operational expertise with custodians and Portfolio Accounting Systems. They are known for their thorough and timely communication, self-initiated follow-through, and organizational skills.

Growth in this role looks like working with more experienced Analysts and the Manager, Advisor Experience to take on more onboarding tasks, handle more complex operational tasks, provide relationship management assistance, and assist advisor clients to improve their experience with tru.

Requirements

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Assisting with new client onboarding, including completing, submitting, and tracking client account opening paperwork for custodians.

· Maintain accurate records across all systems. 

· Assist with daily requests from advisor clients received within task ticketing application.

· Communicate with clients regularly by phone and email.

· Manage data clean-up and audits between custodian data feeds and Portfolio Accounting System. Reconcile data for performance, reporting, and client billing. 

· Resolve Portfolio Accounting System integration issues as they arise.

· Ensure compliance across company policies by working with the Compliance team to assist with report requests, regulatory exams, and best practices.

· Collaborate to create reports, research errors, and make updates to month-end, quarter-end, and annual reporting.

· Attend meetings, internal committees, and office events.

· Other duties and projects as assigned.
