Description

ALG Label and Graphics is seeking to hire a  Machine Operator II Slitter/Die Cutter for 1st shift. This position is full-time with full company benefits. You will be working in a clean, climate-controlled environment in a manufacturing facility.


Machine Operator: This position is full time with full company benefits (not seasonal). You will be working in a custom manufacturing environment and must exhibit a commitment to quality and a sense of urgency. You will be in a fast-paced, open, climate-controlled environment and must be determined to always exceed customer expectations.


This position is in our Screen Division with responsibilities as a manufacturing machine operator (die cutting, finish cutting, printing press). You will be cross-trained on multiple processes.

 Normal hours will be from 6:00 am – 2:30 pm (M-F) or 9:30 am – 6:00 pm (M-F). You must be willing to work Overtime as required.

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for setting up and operating screen printing, die cutting, and other equipment. Knowledge and ability to perform screen printing or die cutting processes are preferred.


 ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently producing quality product
  • Inspection of product produced to job specifications and quality standards
  • Completes production records as required by company guidelines.
  • Ensures cleanliness of work area.
  • Project positive and professional behavior/attitude
  • Responsive - timely & appropriately to all ALG personnel
  • Follow administrative procedures established for departmental interaction.
  • Additional tasks/duties/special projects may be assigned, as necessary
Requirements

 BASE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to solve routine production issues
  • Ability to operate and make adjustments to large mechanical equipment
  • Works well with hands, with good, fine motor skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Good color perception
  • Work independently with little supervision
  • Multitask – ability to handle multiple tasks in fast paced environment
  • Basic computer skills 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience required.
  • Mechanical/machine skills required.
  • Graphic screen, digital or offset printing experience preferred.
  • Quality Control experience preferred.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS 


Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to regularly lift/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds.
  • Bending and twisting for 8 hours or more
  • Standing and walking for 8 hours or more


Salary Description
$16.00/hr
