Who you are
We are seeking a motivated Senior Research Associate to support the execution of in vitro neuroscience studies. You will work closely with senior scientists to culture iPSC-derived neurons and other neuronal models, perform molecular and functional assays, and contribute to key discoveries that drive our early pipeline forward. Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Culture and maintain iPSC-derived neurons and related cellular models
- Perform molecular and protein assays (e.g., qPCR, Western blot) and support electrophysiological studies using MEA platforms
- Contribute to preclinical research activities and project team goals for lead asset development
- Collaborate with CROs and external partners to support program advancement
- Maintain detailed electronic lab records and assist with data analysis and interpretation
- Stay up to date on relevant neuroscience research and industry trends
- Support daily lab operations and contribute to a collaborative team environment
- Present experimental results in team meetings and cross-functional discussions
Education, Experience, & Skills Requirements
- BS or MS in Neuroscience, Biology, or related field with 4+ years of industry experience
- Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture and iPSC neuronal differentiation
- Experience with molecular biology techniques including qPCR and Western blot
- Experience with neuronal assays; MEA platforms (e.g., Axion Maestro PRO) is a strong plus
- Experience with in vitro plate-based assays and mechanism of action studies
- Experience in using data analysis and graphing software, such as Excel or Graphpad Prism
- Ability to troubleshoot and optimize experimental protocols toward building robust assays for compound screening and mechanistic profiling
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow protocols
- Collaborative, flexible, and enthusiastic about learning in a team setting
