Description


Vydia is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Commerce Project Manager to lead the execution of e-commerce and physical distribution initiatives for our music clients. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end product lifecycles across digital storefronts (e.g., Shopify) and physical retail channels, ensuring a seamless experience from product ideation to fulfillment. You'll collaborate with internal teams, third-party vendors, and retail partners to optimize performance, enhance fan engagement, and drive revenue growth.


The ideal candidate has a strong background in eCommerce and physical product management, ideally within the music or entertainment sectors, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This position will join our Label Services team and report directly to Vydia’s Vice President of Label Services.


Candidate must be located in a Vydia registered state, which includes: CA, FL, MA, NJ, NY, PA, TN, or TX


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead client commerce initiatives from concept to delivery, working closely with Label & Artist (L&A) points of contact to manage timelines, deliverables, and reporting
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of client Shopify stores: product setup, inventory management, order flow, and customer support
  • Collaborate with Creative Services to develop and implement compelling digital and physical product offerings
  • Collaborate with Label Services, L&A, Creative, Client Success, and Marketing teams to support product releases.
  • Develop strategies to grow traffic, increase conversions, and drive D2C revenue
  • Manage physical product manufacturing and fulfillment through third-party vendors (e.g., Amped)
  • Serve as the primary liaison between clients, vendors, and retail partners, including Walmart, Target, and independent stores
  • Ensure regional tax compliance in coordination with Finance and Tax teams.
    Integrate Shopify with backend systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, payment gateways, shipping software) to streamline operations and improve efficiency
    Monitor commerce performance metrics and surface actionable insights for continuous optimization
  • Track project budgets, operating costs, and vendor invoices; support financial reporting and maintain healthy P&Ls

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in eCommerce or product/project management, ideally in the music, entertainment, or consumer goods sectors.
  • Deep understanding of Shopify and associated app integrations.
  • Strong knowledge of order fulfillment, warehousing, logistics, and physical distribution channels.
  • Proven experience with data-driven decision-making and performance analysis.
  • Familiarity with multi-state or international sales tax compliance and reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience managing diverse stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience working with national retailers (e.g., Walmart, Target) and independent record stores.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and adept at managing multiple workstreams in a deadline-driven environment.
