About the role: 

As a Superintendent at Floorz, you’ll lead the charge on-site by managing flooring installation projects from kickoff to completion with a sharp eye for detail, quality, and efficiency. You’ll coordinate and supervise skilled installation teams, manage evolving schedules, and resolve challenges in real-time to keep things running smoothly. This role is all about collaboration as you’ll work closely with clients, project managers, vendors, and general contractors to deliver outstanding results and a seamless project experience. If you're a proactive leader with top-notch communication and problem-solving skills, we want to see you in action. 


What you’ll do: 

  • Oversee on-site installation projects from start to finish, ensuring work is completed on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. 
  • Coordinate and lead installation teams, managing schedules, solving problems on the fly, and keeping things running smoothly. 
  • Verify that project conditions are ready for installation and comply with all manufacturer specifications and site requirements. 
  • Confirm that our scope is aligned and integrated with other trades to avoid conflicts and ensure project success. 
  • Ensure installers have the right materials and tools at the right time, and that all materials are handled and stored properly to prevent damage or waste. 
  • Serve as the communication hub between general contractors, project managers, and installers by keeping everyone informed and aligned. 
  • Attend key project meetings and site visits to stay ahead of issues and advocate for the success of your team. 
  • Accurately document any extra work, materials, and labor needed beyond the original scope. 
  • Champion safety on-site by promoting best practices and ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols. 
  • Contribute to project profitability and client satisfaction by driving efficient operations and proactive problem-solving. 
Requirements

Who you are: 

  • You bring at least 2+ years of proven experience in the flooring industry and a deep understanding of installation techniques and materials. 
  • You’ve worked as a foreman or superintendent for a minimum of 2 years, or have equivalent leadership experience managing crews and job sites. 
  • You’re an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing, and you know how to build strong working relationships on and off the job site. 
  • You’re highly organized, detail-oriented, and skilled at managing multiple moving pieces without losing focus. 
  • You manage your time effectively and consistently meet deadlines in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. 
  • You’re a natural problem-solver with strong critical thinking skills, able to assess challenges and take decisive action. 
  • You lead with initiative and know when to delegate tasks to keep projects moving smoothly and teams focused. 
  • You’re familiar with safety regulations and job site procedures, and you actively promote a safe, compliant work culture. 
  • You’re comfortable using software/tools to track job progress and communication, and are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, but not required, this is a strong plus for communicating with diverse field teams. 


Work Environment: 

On-Site: This full-time position is primarily out in the field Monday-Friday in Denver, CO and surrounding areas, with administrative tasks being completed at our Denver office location. On occasion you may be required to work evenings/weekends/overnight stays. 


Physical Demands:   

As a Superintendent, you’ll be active on job sites, which means this role requires regular movement throughout the day. You should be comfortable standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching as part of overseeing installations and ensuring quality and safety. Lifting materials and equipment—occasionally up to 50 pounds—is part of the job, and you’ll be expected to use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, gloves, safety goggles, and ear protection as needed. Clear communication and awareness on-site are key to maintaining safety and keeping projects running smoothly.

Salary Description
$60,000 - $85,000 per year
