Operates multiline telephone system to answer incoming calls and directs callers to appropriate personnel and provides other company support by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Answers incoming telephone calls, determines purpose of callers, and forwards calls to appropriate personnel or department. Utilizes personnel at other locations to get calls answered quickly.
Greets and directs customers, associates, and vendors that approach workstation.
Transfers calls to voice mail when appropriate personnel are unavailable.
Provides callers with address, directions, and other information and assistance as necessary.
Provides clerical support for retail location and performs duties as needed, such as filing, photocopying, collating, and data entry. Provides clerical assistance for other departments, depending upon location, such as:
Advertising: preparing sales tags, applying EHI labels to literature, mailer inserts, preparation of sales packages, lamination and other as needed.
Accounting: monthly statement mailers, daily post office mail pickup and mail sorting to employees, accurate and timely processing customer store credits, customer payments and other as needed.
Miscellaneous: special projects or other clerical duties as needed such as office supply orders, cash drawer reconciliation, and literature displays.
Receiving: customer contact for special order receipt, price sticker application, and other as needed.
Trained in point of sale system to provide backup at Counter Sales, depending upon assigned location.
Participates in all required training assignments.
Displays teamwork and effort in performance of all duties.
Supports the goals and objectives of Ed Herrington, Inc. through adherence to company policies, safety guidelines, and work requirements for successful completion of all assignments.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
