As a General Laborer at Philly's Best Steak Co, you will play a crucial role in the production of our renowned cheesesteak meat products. Working in a cold and wet environment, you will be responsible for various tasks that contribute to the efficient operation of our production plant. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a strong work ethic. Bending, lifting from 10 to 50 pounds (role depending), standing, temperatures 35-45 degrees, repetitive movements.
Reports to: Production Supervisor
Status: Specify - Full-Time / Non-Exempt
Schedule: Monday to Sunday Usually a 6AM or 7AM start time until the end of production 8+ hours daily
Occasionally, additional hours may be required to complete tasks and/or projects.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Production Support: Assist in various stages of meat processing, including cutting, slicing, unpacking, and packaging of cheesesteak meat.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect products for quality and adherence to safety and sanitation standards. Report any deviations or defects to supervisors.

- Cleaning and Sanitization: Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment by regularly cleaning work areas, equipment, and tools to prevent contamination.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, aprons, and safety boots.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with fellow team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Physical Demands: This role requires standing for extended periods, lifting heavy objects, and working in cold and wet conditions.
Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a food production or manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Ability to work in a cold and wet environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
