Job Type: Full-Time | Field-Based

Pay Rate: $28-$35/hr (Based on Experience)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (On-Call as Needed)

Start Date: July 28, 2025

Work Environment: Industrial | Field-Based Across Multiple Colorado Sites


Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic to service and repair a variety of heavy construction equipment and fleet vehicles. This is a field-based role requiring travel to job sites throughout Colorado, with lodging and per diem provided when needed. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong mechanical, diagnostic, and communication skills.


Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy equipment (excavators, dozers, loaders, skid steers, etc.) and fleet trucks (3500s, semis, trailers)
     
  • Perform preventative maintenance and maintain service logs via mobile apps
     
  • Manage parts sourcing and procurement using a company card (post-probation)
     
  • Travel to remote project sites (e.g., Idaho Springs, South Pueblo, Rocky Ford)
     
  • Conduct welding repairs as necessary
     
  • Keep service vehicle clean and fully equipped
     
  • Ensure all work adheres to safety protocols and timelines
     

Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years in heavy equipment maintenance (field experience preferred)
     
  • Licensing: Valid driver's license with clean MVR (CDL preferred)
     
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in diesel engines, hydraulics, diagnostics, and welding
     
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs, work outdoors year-round, and climb equipment
     
  • Must pass a pre-employment physical and 10-panel drug screen
     
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
     
  • Comfortable using mobile devices and apps for work documentation
     

Compensation & Benefits
