Description
Room patients, take vitals, and document medical histories
Assist with interventional procedures (epidurals, joint injections, nerve blocks) under physician supervision
Maintain a sterile environment and prep procedure rooms
Accurately document patient interactions and procedural notes in the EMR
Provide pre-op and post-op patient instructions
Manage medication inventory and assist with prior authorizations if needed
Ensure patient comfort, answer questions, and support the care team
Maintain HIPAA compliance and follow safety protocols at all times
Requirements
- Medical Assistant Certification preferred (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Previous experience in pain management, orthopedics, or a procedural clinic strongly preferred
- Familiarity with EMR systems and clinical documentation
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Compassionate, professional, and dependable demeanor
- BLS or ACLS certification a plus
Salary Description
