Description

Groundskeeper reports to and takes direction from the Grounds Supervisor. Responsible for cleanliness and maintaining grounds and landscapes.


1.Perform mowing, trimming, pruning, watering, and spray operations of grass, flowerbeds, trees, and shrubs at all properties managed by the Building Authority.2.Assist in planting annual flowers, trees, and shrubs. Spread mulch in and around all beds.3.Assist in snow removal, ice removal, and salt spreading, parking lot and walkways4.Assist with irrigation system maintenance.5.Comply with EPA chemical application regulations and Building Authority’s policies procedures and safety regulations. (All regulations will be shared during orientation and onboarding) (Mobile + CJC)6.Driving to different properties that are managed by the Building Authority, with lawn care equipment in tow. (Mobile)7.Perform Maintenance as well as Preventative Maintenance on the (Canal Walk) pumps and fountains(Canal + CCB)8.Use a wetsuit to enter and work in water up to 5 feet deep (Canal)9.Remove graffiti/counteract vandalism, including removing items from Canal waters.(Canal)10.Perform all other duties as assigned by Grounds Supervisor.


Equipment used:

The Groundskeeper should be familiar with various equipment and tools including lawncare equipment, pesticides, PPE safety equipment, mowers, and trimmers.

•Ability to work a flexible schedule (snow removal, vehicle breakdown)

•Valid Indiana State Driver’s license

•3 Years of Landscaping knowledge and prior experience

•Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs, and lift frequently

•Ability to lift 50 (fifty) pounds

•Ability to swim (Canal)

•Ability to perform basic Maintenance Equipment Repair

•Familiarity with CMMS Software/Computers
