Contract Counsel

About the Role:

Broussard Brothers, Inc. and its affiliated entities are seeking an Associate Counsel to join our Legal Department. This position will play a key role in supporting day-to-day legal operations with a focus on contracts, claims, and risk management. The Associate Counsel will work closely with leaders across the business to provide practical, solutions-oriented legal support that helps drive the company forward.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of contracts and agreements
  • Support compliance efforts, lease and rental agreements, and standardized contracting processes
  • Assist with claims, disputes, subpoenas, collections, and insurance documentation
  • Provide legal research, risk analysis, and clear guidance to internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate with outside counsel as needed and contribute to broader departmental initiatives

Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing
  • 1–3 years of relevant legal experience (law firm or in-house)
  • Solid foundation in contract drafting, review, and negotiation
  • Strong research, writing, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced business environment
