Job Summary

As a Linux Application Engineer at Telit Cinterion, you will lead the development of cutting-edge Linux-based modem solutions. Reporting to the SW Team Manager, this role involves full-cycle software development from design to optimization. Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams and opportunities for technical growth are key aspects of this position. 

Objectives & Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software for cellular communication modules based on Qualcomm chipsets.
• Design and implement Linux-based applications and services for modem control, data communication, and system integration
• Collaborate with team members to manage project requirements and schedules.
• Ensure software quality through code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Analyze and resolve issues related to modem connectivity, protocol stack behavior, and data throughput.
• Work with the customer support team to resolve technical issues and incorporate user feedback. 

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
• Experience in programming within Linux environments, particularly with C/C++
• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
• A team player who values collaboration
• Ability to travel internationally without restrictions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in cellular modem development
• Understanding of embedded systems and communication protocols
• Knowledge or experience with modem technologies
• Ability to analyze QXDM logs and troubleshoot modem-related issues
• Familiarity with RTOS, Embedded Linux, Yocto Linux, and OpenWRT
• Prior experience with QCT chipsets
• Contributions to open-source projects
• Minimum 6 years of relevant industry experience
