Job Summary
As a Linux Application Engineer at Telit Cinterion, you will lead the development of cutting-edge Linux-based modem solutions. Reporting to the SW Team Manager, this role involves full-cycle software development from design to optimization. Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams and opportunities for technical growth are key aspects of this position.
Objectives & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software for cellular communication modules based on Qualcomm chipsets.
- Design and implement Linux-based applications and services for modem control, data communication, and system integration
- Collaborate with team members to manage project requirements and schedules.
- Ensure software quality through code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Analyze and resolve issues related to modem connectivity, protocol stack behavior, and data throughput.
- Work with the customer support team to resolve technical issues and incorporate user feedback.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
- Experience in programming within Linux environments, particularly with C/C++
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
- A team player who values collaboration
- Ability to travel internationally without restrictions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in cellular modem development
- Understanding of embedded systems and communication protocols
- Knowledge or experience with modem technologies
- Ability to analyze QXDM logs and troubleshoot modem-related issues
- Familiarity with RTOS, Embedded Linux, Yocto Linux, and OpenWRT
- Prior experience with QCT chipsets
- Contributions to open-source projects
- Minimum 6 years of relevant industry experience
