Job Summary

HW Engineer reports to the Hardware Development Manager and is responsible for RF/Logic design, development, and maintenance of Cellular (WCDMA/LTE/5G) and WiFi/Bluetooth products. This role contributes to Telit Cinterion’s business objectives by supporting the full product lifecycle—from schematic design to mass production—and resolving field and production issues. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners on global projects, with opportunities to grow in system integration and next-generation wireless technologies including connected edge devices, gateways, and cloud-based Industrial IoT platforms. 

Objectives & Responsibilities

• Design circuit layouts for 5G and IoT modules and provide technical support throughout the entire product lifecycle.
• Optimize RF and system performance.
• Support mass production and resolve field issues.
• Conduct product development using callbox and RF equipment.
• Understand and manage 3GPP and regulatory certifications.
• Provide customer support based on antenna and radiation knowledge.
• Analyze circuit failures and root causes during product development and propose improvement measures.
• Collaborate closely with external partners and internal teams on global projects.
• Document test scenarios and design specifications systematically to build technical assets.
• Grow technical expertise and leadership through hands-on experience with platforms such as Qualcomm.

• BS in Electronic Engineering (or equivalent)
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in circuit design for 5G and IoT modules, covering the full product lifecycle from schematic to mass production
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written
• Experience in RF/Logic and baseband development for Cellular and WiFi/Bluetooth
• Familiarity with RF measurement equipment such as network analyzers and spectrum analyzers
• Ability to work independently and in multicultural environments
• Strong project management skills and goal-oriented mindset

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of wireless network technologies including 3G/4G/5G/WIFI/BT
• Experience with Qualcomm platforms and ability to control RF transmit/receive devices using RFC code
• Practical understanding of EMS company SMT procedures and experience in debugging and improving mass production yields
• Experience with operator certifications across multiple countries
