Client First Technologies is currently seeking a .NET Software Developer to support a contract with our government customer. The .NET Software Developer will build and enhance C#/.NET web applications hosted in Windows/IIS with SQL Server backends, work within a structured SDLC, follow change control, and meet software development SLAs and security/508 standards. Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain ASP.NET (MVC/Core) and Web API services supporting mission apps.
  • Implement data access with SQL Server (T-SQL, stored procedures), optimize queries, and handle migrations.
  • Integrate with enterprise services (M365/Exchange Online, identity/federation, logging/monitoring).
  • Write unit/integration tests; participate in peer reviews; maintain CI-friendly build/readiness artifacts.
  • Prepare release notes and configuration items for Change Control Board; support Test Lab validation and staging?production promotion.
  • Remediate vulnerabilities, apply secure coding practices, and support ATO/RMF evidence (as needed) with documentation.
  • Ensure Section 508/WCAG 2.1 AA compliance and contribute to knowledge articles in ServiceNow.
  • Provide on-call support for urgent non-prime incidents on a rotational basis.

Qualifications

  • 3–6 years with C#, ASP.NET (MVC and/or .NET 6/7+), REST APIs, and SQL Server.
  • Hands-on with IIS, Windows Server, and modern auth (OIDC/SAML/Azure AD or similar).
  • Experience delivering within a gated SDLC and working to defined SLAs.
  • Practical knowledge of secure coding (OWASP), logging/telemetry, and performance profiling.
  • Ability to produce 508-conformant UIs (ARIA semantics, keyboard nav, color contrast) and/or collaborate with UX for compliance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CI/CD (GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps) and load-balancers.
  • Experience modernizing legacy .NET Framework apps to .NET Core.
  • FedRAMP/FISMA/NIST 800-53 familiarity.

Candidate will need to successfully pass a Government Background Investigation (BI).
