Area Maintenance Technician (Richmond market)

Position Overview
As an Area Service Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining the quality and comfort of our residential communities across the metro Richmond area. This position requires strong technical expertise, a commitment to customer service, and the ability to support and mentor others on the team.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with the Service Training Supervisor (STS) to train, coach, and develop trainees and service staff across the Richmond market
- Support onboarding by demonstrating best practices in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and customer service
- Reinforce safety standards, company policies, and consistent work-order documentation; provide in-the-moment feedback to improve quality
- Travel to apartment communities throughout the Richmond metro area to perform maintenance and repairs
- Diagnose, repair, and install appliances and systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and basic carpentry
- Deliver exceptional customer service to residents and team members
- Accurately document work orders and completed tasks
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- EPA 608 Certification (Type II or Universal)
- 3+ years of experience in appliance and HVAC installation, troubleshooting, and repair
- Ability to work independently and travel between locations as needed
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Must provide your own hand tools
