Job Summary:

To provide leadership for the Middle School Ministry of Green Acres Baptist Church in collaboration with the Student Ministry Staff. This includes activities, outreach, education and leadership training. This position is a full-time salaried position and requires a 40+ hour work week.  

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Work in coordination with the overall goals and vision of Green Acres Baptist Church and the Student Ministry
• Support the efforts of the Student Ministry in collaboration with the Student Ministry Staff Invest in the lives of students, building healthy relationships with them and modeling that process for adult leaders.
• Plan and lead Sunday morning Connect Groups for Middle School Ministry
• Enlist, train, equip and disciple adult leaders and parents in the Middle School Ministry
• Plan and lead Wednesday night program for Middle School Ministry
• Organize, supervise, and coordinate special events for Middle School Ministry. This includes but is not limited to summer camp, mission trips, weekend retreats, one-day events and hangouts. Develop a regular rhythm and pattern for student discipleship.
• Be proactive in engaging and developing ministry efforts on school campuses.
• Analyze, develop, and help improve all student ministry programs and activities.
• Perform pastoral duties as requested, including hospital visitation, weddings, funerals, and pastoral counseling.
• Accept other assignments as may be given by the Pastor or Executive Team.
• Be diligent and motivated to develop more as a leader and minister of the Gospel.

Required Skills/Abilities: 

• At least two years related ministry experience.
• A personal relationship with Jesus and has followed in believer’s baptism. This relationship bears fruit and shows evidence in the lifestyle and character of the individual.
• Embrace a team mentality and approach to ministry.
• Have a passion for reaching students with the Gospel.

Education and Experience:

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent, preferably have completion of a college bachelor’s degree.

Physical Requirements: 

• Be able to lead and teach from a stage multiple-times per week.
• Be able to lead and facilitate trips and special events, including camps and mission trips. These will require time spent traveling and leading away from home.
