Under the guidance of the Director of Human Resources, the Nielsen-Kellerman (“NK”) HR Coordinator is responsible for the general facilitation of HR activities in support of Nielsen-Kellerman’s employee team and HR services vendor partners. Among other assigned tasks, the HR Coordinator will execute posting and promoting jobs, recruiting processes, onboarding for new employees, HRIS and benefit portal entry, company event planning, employee recognition, employee communication and other general HR administration functions.

Requirements

Essential Functions / Responsibilities 

  • Post new positions to company website and appropriate job boards
  • Filter applicants and manage assessment process, including Predictive Index behavioral assessments and video interview processes, communicating with hiring managers as appropriate.
  • Coordinate and schedule phone, video and in-person interviews.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process in HRIS, benefit portal and 401k administrator website.
  • Track employee eligibility for health insurance and retirement plans and follow up with employees on enrollment as needed.
  • Partner with Finance/Payroll department to ensure payroll changes are captured accurately at time of processing such as employee pay rates, departments, deductions/earnings and other changes.
  • Manage Unemployment Claims
  • Process employee terminations
  • Assist with HR reporting needs 
  • Assist with employee benefit administration and employee questions, elevating to HR Director when necessary.
  • Coordinate and plan company employee events, including arranging catering and supplies
  • Develop and administer employee recognition programs, selecting and purchasing meaningful rewards within a provided budget.
  • Ensure company communications to employees are up-to-date and engaging and assist in the development of virtual communication tools that work for a distributed workforce.
  • Manage department calendar, highlighting significant monthly, annual activities and events

Required Competencies

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in basic business software such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Experience with HRIS systems, Paylocity preferred.
  • Demonstrated consistency in meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to manage several different functions in an organized manner.

Education and Experience

  • Associate’s degree required. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred. Equivalent experience considered.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in Human Resources, Marketing or Administrative function.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Climate-controlled indoor manufacturing plant and offices. Ability to work at a computer for 8 hours per day with reasonable accommodations. 


Hours of Work/Work Location

This is a full-time, M-F, 40 hours per week position. NK fully supports work-from-home or telecommuting with information technology and communication systems and will work with the successful candidate to develop a schedule that meets the needs of the company and the employee. An office will also be provided in NK’s plant in Boothwyn, PA. Business travel is not required but may be available if desired.


Pay Rate

This is an exempt, salaried position with pay depending upon prior experience and demonstrated skills. Compensation includes an annual bonus based on company and individual performance. Pay rates are reviewed annually for adjustment based on growth in skills and capabilities.
