CDL Charter & Route- Variable Hours


Now looking for full-time, part-time, and seasonal workers with previous school bus/driving experience! We're a very flexible company, and willing to provide the flexible schedule you need while off during the school year. Also looking for charter drivers who make great tips along with their hourly rate.*

ecoShuttle, an established locally-owned charter, and regular route transportation company is now hiring Full-time, Part-time drivers, Holiday drivers, Weekend Drivers, and Split-Shift Drivers. We have route, charter, special events, corporate and school-related activities needing to be serviced by professional shuttle and motorcoach operators.


We are seeking friendly and experienced professional drivers to compliment our amazing staff. Also, as we are an eco-friendly company, we try to be as paper-free as possible. That means time sheets, schedules, policy documents, etc. are all provided in an electronic format. We provide training in these areas to all new employees; however, a basic knowledge of computers and the Internet is necessary to fully succeed in this workplace.

Requirements

Job Requirements:

• Class B license or higher CDL with passenger and air brake restriction removed.

• Current and valid medical card.

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of Commercial driving experience and partially in a bus.

• Clean driving record with recent MVR available at interview.

• Must pass a DOT pre-employment drug screen.

• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to problem solve, listen and exhibit patience. Displaying flexible and positive responses to passenger needs.

• Professional appearance and exemplary attitude toward all guests, customers, and co-workers.

• Able to positively manage stressful situations which may include weather, traffic or unsatisfied customers.

• Complete awareness of traffic and weather conditions. Will notify dispatch of potential problems, report all accidents or other safety situations.

• Be a model of safe and cautious driving.

• Reliably punctual to work.

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including late nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Ability to lift 75 lbs (luggage, snow chains, equipment, etc.).

• Willingness to follow all company policies and adhere to safety rules and regulations.

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

• Conducting complete daily vehicle inspections (pre-trip and post-trip) as required by the FMCSA for service issues and reporting issues to the appropriate contacts.

• Pre-plan routes and mapping for assigned charters.

• Completing an accurate log book and a driver trip sheet for each shift completion with all relevant information.

• Keeping the interior of the vehicle neat and orderly. Fuel and spot clean debris after each shift.

• Performing other related duties as requested.


Preferred, but not required:


• SPAB or School Bus certification.

• Knowledge of the Portland Metro area.
