The Programmatic / Paid Social Manager is a driven digital marketer within our Integrated Marketing Communications team who thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. A Manager is expected to own the strategy, planning, execution, and optimization of digital media campaigns within their core skillset, while also supporting broader, cross-channel deliverables as needed. This role may include full ownership of client accounts, encompassing both hands-on tactical execution and day-to-day client management, as well as oversight of specialists or senior specialists. Managers are expected to make informed strategic decisions with minimal oversight while maintaining strong accountability for client communication, campaign performance, and overall account responsibilities. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Serves as the day-to-day Manager on Programmatic and Paid Social clients, independently or in partnership with a Senior Manager or Director  
  • Effectively manages personal workload and coordinates with channel specialists across multiple concurrent workstreams 
  • Leverages deep tactical expertise to execute and oversee channel-specific client deliverable 
  • Drives proactive, strategic growth across owned accounts with clear accountability for overall account profitability  

Technical Media Execution: 

  • Able to traffic, plan, buy, optimize and report on numerous programmatic and paid social media channels (GCM, GA, DV360, Amazon,  Direct Buys, Trade Desk, Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, Reddit)
  • Exhibit a mastery of technical programmatic and paid social strategy. Algorithmic understanding/optimizations for each platform
  • Ensures proper account structure, tracking setup, and measurement implementation 
  • Maintains working knowledge of IAB standard creative specifications and advises clients on best-in-class creative execution 
  • Effectively identify and communicate reports, topics, strategies, and tactics with clients on paid social and related marketing channels via e-mail, phone, or in-person

Training:  

  • Support and provide formal paid social and programmatic trainings on concepts and tools
  • Assist in hands-on training sessions on tools, social concepts, and client communication
  • Support development of new processes, as well as refinement of existing social, programmatic, and account processes  

Account Management: 

  • Owns day-to-day client relationships for assigned accounts, serving as a primary point of contact 
  • Manages and monitors paid social and programmatic campaigns with limited supervision, ensuring performance aligns with client goals and KPIs 
  • Oversees scope of work, timelines, and client hours while proactively identifying risks, opportunities, and resource needs 
  • Partners with internal teams (creative, analytics, leadership) to ensure seamless execution and high-quality client delivery 
Requirements

 

Education:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Business, Marketing, or Management Degrees preferred)

Management Experience:  

  • 5+ Years of programmatic and/or paid social experience
  • Proven record of strong organization and thought leadership skills (self-driven)

Skillset:  

  • Strong Microsoft Suite proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams)
  • Strong Written and Oral Communication Skills
  • Mastery of channel-specific digital media management and reporting platforms for those channel(s)
  • Capable of presenting to clients in addition to fielding client questions with little to no oversight
  • Can work independently and manage projects from start to finish
  • Understanding of appropriate time management of workload and how it affects profitability of projects
  • Understands the team’s role in the larger agency process
  • Strategic and creative thinking – always focusing on innovative, but measurable client solutions
  • Pattern of success, taking initiative, and repeatability in supporting and handling of above responsibilities
