Description

Are you looking for an opportunity to kick off the new year?  How would you like to come work for a company that believes in a work/life balance?  Our Garland location is currently looking for a non-CDL driver.  The right candidate is responsible for safely delivering insulation products to scheduled job sites and is required to load and unload materials in a timely and efficient manner. This role may also include general warehouse duties as needed.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Safely operates company vehicles to deliver materials according to the assigned schedule, including loading and unloading products.
  • Stages and prepares products for delivery by organizing and loading materials onto the truck.
  • Conducts daily pre-trip inspections, maintains the vehicle in good working condition, and performs minor maintenance when necessary. Reports any mechanical or maintenance concerns to the Plant Manager promptly.
  • Completes all required documentation, including tickets, bills of lading, customer-signed receipts, and COD transactions when applica
  • Communicates any customer service issues or concerns encountered at the job site to the Plant Manager.
  • Assists with warehouse duties between scheduled deliveries, as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements

 

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of verifiable experience driving a straight truck (26’ box truck, manual transmission) within the last 5 years.
  • Ability to pass a Driver Background Check.
  • Must meet all DOT requirements necessary to obtain and maintain a valid medical card.
  • As a condition of continued employment, employees working in a position requiring driving as an essential function of the job, are required to maintain a valid license, and an acceptable driving record as per our insurance provider’s requirements.
