Job Overview:
You will play a crucial role in the overall financial management for the organizations $30+ million in revenue and $400+ million in assets. You will work in close collaboration with our Chief Financial Officer, accounting staff and third-party property management team. This position will have an integral part in building and managing effective and streamlined systems to support the financial functions of the organization, including fund accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial analysis, budgets, reporting, and audit support.
Responsibilities:
· Assist in the preparation of all financials, ledgers, and reporting; manage and execute basic accounting procedures related to payables and receivables.
· Compile and review various accounting ledger reports for accuracy including general ledger reconciliations.
· Bank reconciliation monthly adjustments.
· Provide oversight for rent statement, monthly resident ledger adjustments, resident move in/move out process, posting/coding invoices in AvidXchange software, and accounts payable payment process.
Qualifications:
• Must possess a fundamental understanding of all aspects of accounting and be proficient in computerized accounting systems.
• BA/BS in accounting or finance degree
• Minimum 5 years accounting experience
• Experience in managing integrated accounting systems, such as MRI, AvidXchange and PayLease or comparable software systems.
• Proficient in MS365, Microsoft Office products and information technology
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a professional team with a positive and proactive attitude.
