Job Type: Temporary/Seasonal • Part-time (evenings/weekends/holidays)About the roleWe’re hiring reliable, guest-friendly Parking Attendants to perform traffic control during a high-volume holiday event at Tropical Park. You’ll help safely guide vehicles and pedestrians, keep lanes clear, and ensure guests have a smooth arrival and departure.What you’ll do

• Direct traffic flow at park entrances, exits, intersections, and pedestrian crossings
• Set up, move, and retrieve cones, barricades, and signage throughout the shift
• Communicate via hand signals and two-way radios with teammates and supervisors
• Maintain clear fire lanes and emergency access; report incidents immediately
• Provide courteous directions and basic event information to guests
• Follow all safety procedures and supervisor instructions at all times

What you’ll bring

• 18+ years old with valid government ID
• Strong customer service and communication skills (bilingual English/Spanish a plus)
• Able to stand on your feet for the entire shift and lift/move 25–35 lbs as needed
• Comfortable working outdoors (rain or shine) and in fast-paced, high-traffic areas
• Dependable, punctual, and a true team player
• Background check may be required; must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Schedule & pay

• Shifts: Multiple daily shifts between late afternoon and late evening; weekends and holidays required
• Availability: We prioritize candidates who can work most dates in the event window
• Pay: $14 per hour  | Overtime as applicable by law
• Training: Mandatory paid orientation prior to start (date/time provided after selection)

Dress code & equipment

• Weather-appropriate outerwear, black pants, and closed-toe black shoes required
• Safety vests and radios provided by DEC Parking (additional details at orientation)
