We are seeking a dependable and detail oriented Assembler who will be responsible for assembling, installing, fitting, and verifying boat components throughout the manufacturing process. This role ensures assigned components and equipment are properly installed, secured, aligned, sealed, and finished according to engineering specifications, company quality standards, and applicable safety requirements.

The Assembler works closely with Production, Engineering, Quality Control, and other departments to identify and correct installation or workmanship concerns and ensure vessels meet required fit, finish, functionality, and quality standards before completion. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assemble, install, fit, and secure boat components, equipment, hardware, seating, controls, hatches, cabinetry, trim, and other interior and exterior components according to specifications.
• Read and follow technical drawings, templates, work instructions, and manufacturer installation requirements.
• Measure, align, drill, fasten, seal, and finish components to ensure proper fit, appearance, functionality, and structural integrity.
• Install and verify assigned equipment and components are properly mounted, secured, connected, sealed, and functioning as intended.
• Perform in-process quality checks to identify gaps, misalignment, loose hardware, improper sealing, cosmetic defects, or other workmanship concerns.
• Test and inspect completed installations and make necessary adjustments or repairs before the vessel advances to the next production stage.
• Identify installation conflicts or discrepancies and coordinate with Production, Engineering, Quality Control, or other departments for resolution.
• Support final vessel inspections and correct assembly-related deficiencies identified during Quality Control or sea trials prior to customer release.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and other assembly equipment while following OSHA requirements, company safety procedures, and required PPE practices.
• Maintain tools, equipment, materials, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.

• Previous experience in boat assembly, marine manufacturing, mechanical assembly, or a related manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience using hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment.
• Working knowledge of boat components, hardware, mechanical systems, and general vessel construction preferred.
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings, blueprints, specifications, work instructions, and manufacturer installation requirements.
• Experience measuring, fitting, aligning, fastening, sealing, and installing components with accuracy.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on fit, finish, workmanship, and installation quality.
• Ability to inspect completed work, identify installation or quality concerns, and perform necessary adjustments or corrections.
• Basic knowledge of OSHA requirements and safe work practices within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with Production, Engineering, Quality Control, and other departments.
• Dependable, quality-focused, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy components, including boat parts and tools up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and crouch for extended periods.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to operate tools and perform assembly tasks.
• Ability to work in confined spaces or awkward positions when assembling certain boat components.

Schedule:  Full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm,  with occasional weekend assignments.

This role is based in a boat manufacturing or repair facility. The work environment may involve exposure to chemicals and fumes, requiring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
