Description

  

Lead mid-range production goals and objectives in the areas of safety, quality and productivity while providing direction to the Production Leads / Maintenance Manager. Provide leadership and direction to the production team to meet and/or exceed strategic goals. Responsible for developing and growing talent within the department.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 


· Provide leadership and direction for the day-to-day functions of the plant processes and employees.

· Facilitate quality and safety improvements across the business.

· Leads efforts to achieve monthly production goals and takes action to address barriers.

· Reviews daily production with production leads to address issues and recognize performance.

· Develops and mentors direct reports creating individual development plans and providing regular feedback.

· Sets and communicates expectations and drive accountability for plant housekeeping.

· Confers with Safety Department on safety issues/improvements.

· Contact for vendor partners on capacity expansion projects. 

· Liaison with Scheduling team to optimize production routings.

· Monitors development, training, evaluation, and disciplinary processes for plant employees.

· Participates in the strategic and capital improvement planning process for business. Works with production team regarding plant supply/machinery purchases.

· Other duties as assigned by Vice President.

Requirements

  

Education and Experience: 

· BS degree in Business, Operations, or related fields or equivalent experience.

· 5-10 years' experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience leading teams within a production environment.


Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

·Must be detail oriented and possess strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Team leadership a priority.
