As a Clinician IV/Supervisor you will immediately be engaged in providing supervision, training, and oversight to Clinicians that are dedicated to improving the lives of underserved youth and families ravaged by trauma. Supervisors bring a lot to the table and our Clinicians are eager to learn and grow! This position is perfect for those looking for experience within adolescent mental health, behavioral health, or psychology. Experience as a case manager, adolescent therapist, mental health therapist, program lead, behavioral health counselor, mental health professional or clinical administrator is useful. Experience in clinical interventions, crisis work, and clinical supervision is preferred. 


Compensation:  In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected starting salary range for this Colorado position is $67,400.83-$81,427.58 per year. Actual pay may be adjusted based on experience and other job related factors permitted by law.

Schedule

  • Monday to Friday, normal business hours
  • At times, accommodations may need to be made to meet the individual needs of a client, their family, staff members, and the program overall. This may indicate the need for working hours later in the evening. Some flexibility around scheduling may be required. However, Shiloh House leadership works diligently alongside clinicians to develop schedules that align with personal needs and self-care!

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the provision of individualized, trauma informed, trauma responsive, and evidenced based clinical services.
  • Provide and document at least monthly clinical supervision for all assigned supervisees.
  • Provide co-therapy as frequently as necessary and appropriate to support and train clinical staff.
  • Provide face-to-face therapy for assigned clients and as needed for all youth.
  • Coordinate with Human Resources and the Chief Clinical Officer on hiring and disciplinary issues for clinical personnel. 
  • Provide Clinical On-Call coverage as needed/assigned.
  • Promote standards of care within the facility that at a minimum meet standards established by State of Colorado regulations, Social Current, and County Contracts, as well as any and all other licensing and accrediting entities.
  • Provide support, training, and consultation to the residential and educational departments frequently and as needed to ensure interdepartmental cohesion and effective communication. This position requires a close working relationship with on campus residential and educational supervisors as well as agency residential and educational leadership.
  • Ensure that clinical needs of the Supervisee’s clients are met at all times.
  • Collect, review and submit appropriate/required clinical documentation within designated timelines outlined in training and supervision.
  • Oversee the completion of documentation of clinical work for designated supervisees (individual, group and family notes, as well as assessments, treatment plans, social histories and other documentation) as mandated by Medicaid requirements, CDHS, Social Current and county contracts. Completion is defined as written, edited, reviewed and signed by a licensed/designated mental health professional and filed in the client file.
  • Utilize behavior management techniques (which require a certain degree of balance and physical strength) with clients, which may include physical management (staff are trained to use Crisis Prevention Intervention technique) on an as needed basis.
  • Participate in review of clinical charts quarterly as directed by the Chief Clinical Officer.
  • Oversee critical funding aspects including, but not limited to, the medical necessity process, service authorizations, service reauthorizations, as well as external funding agent communication and support. This includes oversight of reauthorization dates as well as the clinicians role in obtaining authorization and reauthorization for services.
  • Clearly communicate with others in the treatment and containment team both within Shiloh and outside of Shiloh the treatment needs, planning, and recommendations for clients on an on-going basis.

Requirements
  • Must have either a MA, MS, M.Ed, or MSW in psychology, social work, or a related human services field. 
  • Must be clinically licensed in the state of Colorado (LPC, LCSW).
  • At least 1 year of experience post-licensure is required.
  • Prior experience providing supervision and training is required.
  • Must have a valid Colorado driver’s license or the ability to obtain one with a clean motor vehicle record.
  • Applicants must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening as a condition of employment, in accordance with Colorado Department of Human Services regulations for child care facilities. This screening includes state criminal background checks, fingerprinting, sex offender registry searches, and abuse and neglect clearances. If the applicant has lived in any other state within the past five years, equivalent background and abuse/neglect checks from those states will also be conducted. In addition, all direct care applicants are required to complete a health evaluation or physical prior to beginning service to confirm they are fit for duty.

  • Must have strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Prior experience working with offense specific youth preferred but not required.
