Providence is seeking a Training Coordinator to join our team! As a training coordinator, you will excel in building structure, managing systems, and keeping people and programs on track. You’ll bring your training experience to support our learning strategy, partner with external trainers, and occasionally, step into the training room. This role is primarily focused on keeping training operations running smoothly; coordinating trainings, managing calendars, records, and compliance, while also meaningfully contributing your training skills to support our learning strategy. As the role evolves and you strengthen and streamline our systems, you’ll have space to lean more into facilitation, curriculum input, and strategic learning projects that grow with you.
Training Coordinator Schedule: 40 hours a week. Mon-Fri 8-4. Ability to flex schedule as needed. Occasional evening or weekend training sessions required.
Training Coordinator Location(s): Anne Aundel County-based. Office hubs in Arnold, MD and Millersville, MD. As you start with us, you will work most often in our Arnold location.
Some travel between Program sites in Anne Arundel and Charles County.
Occasional work from home following the introductory period.
Training Coordinator Compensation: Salaried. $54,000-$58,000 annually.
Training Coordinator Core Duties and Responsibilities:
Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain accurate training records to ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements.
- Monitor staff compliance and communicate deficiencies with supervisors.
- Prepare periodic compliance reports for leadership, DDA, and accreditation bodies.
Coordination & Scheduling
- Develop and manage training calendars, schedules, and related communications.
- Coordinate trainers in support of the timely delivery of learning programs and required training.
Learning Management System (LMS) Oversight
- Manage and update the organization’s LMS, including course assignments, tracking, user access, and reporting.
- Generate reports to track training participation, effectiveness, and completion.
Training Delivery & Facilitation
- Conduct in-person and virtual training sessions using adult-learning best practices and accessible instruction methods.
- Facilitate and/or coordinate the facilitation of required courses such as: Person-Centered Planning, Rights of people with I/DD, Abuse/Neglect Prevention, MANDT, Medication Administration, CPR/First Aid & AED.
Training Program Development & Implementation
- Support the development and maintenance of training content aligned with regulatory and organizational standards, as well as professional development initiatives.
Career Plans & Learning Supports for Staff
- Partner with supervisors to develop individualized learning plans and career development pathways for DSPs and emerging leaders.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with internal and external partners to identify training needs related to person-centered supports, health and safety, behavior support plans, and clinical requirements.
- Serve as a resource for employees regarding training, learning platforms, and skill development.
Continuous Quality Improvement
- Recommend improvements to enhance workforce competency and support organizational excellence.

To perform this job successfully, a Program Coordinator must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the education, knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.
- Minimum 2–3 years of administrative experience, preferably in HR, human services, staff development, or adult education.
- Experience in the I/DD or human services field required; knowledge of DDA regulations strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Education, Training & Development, Organizational Development, or related field preferred.
- Valid MANDT and CPR/First Aid/AED.
- Ability to train in Mandt, CPR/First Aid, or MedTech. Trainer certifications strongly preferred.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to multitask with a results-oriented mindset.
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Oand utlook; knowledgeable in iCareManger and Relias Learning system.
- Able to sit, stand, bend, kneel, squat, push, pull, reach with arms, and handle/feel training materials up to 40 lbs.
