Compensation:
Competitive compensation package including hourly rate + mileage + bonuses ($20–$22/hr base range).

Schedule & Travel Details:

This is a full-time, Tuesday–Friday position (8AM–5PM) with a 1-hour lunch.
Logan locations operate 9AM–6PM, also with a 1-hour lunch.

You will travel between multiple Platinum Dental locations, including:

  • North Logan
  • Cache Valley
  • Providence
  • Redwood
  • Central Ogden
  • East Ogden
  • Fairfield
  • Tooele
  • Magna
  • South Provo

About the Role:

Platinum Dental is seeking an experienced Traveling Periodontal Dental Assistant to serve as a specialty assistant within our periodontal program. This role is essential to supporting high-quality periodontal care across multiple offices.

You will play a key part in maintaining consistency, training other dental assistants, and ensuring each location is fully prepared for periodontal procedures.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and prepare patients for periodontal treatments
  • Assist the periodontist with 4-handed dentistry, surgical setups, and perio procedures
  • Select, set up, and sterilize instruments and equipment
  • Manage and order supplies for the traveling perio kit
  • Communicate supply needs to each office
  • Complete lab tasks as instructed
  • Provide post-operative instructions
  • Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked operatories
  • Schedule appointments and maintain accurate patient records
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Experience Required: Proven experience as a periodontal or specialty dental assistant—this role requires a confident, lead-level assistant  
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to train other DAs and oversee perio setup consistency  
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of periodontal instruments, surgical procedures, and sterilization protocols  
  • Organization: Excellent attention to detail; able to manage inventory across multiple locations  
  • Communication: Strong communication skills with patients, teams, and office leadership  
  • Regulatory Understanding: Knowledge of health & safety regulations
