Description

Catch Des Moines has an opening for the part time position of Hospitality Assistant. This position will work with the Sports department on developing and executing hospitality functions, specifically the AAU Junior Olympic Games the summer of 2026. Qualified individuals will possess self-starting skills, goal driven, attention to detail and work well in a team environment. 


Duties:

Primary responsibility will be to organize & implement various hospitality aspects of the 2026 AAU Junior Olympic Games. This includes meal functions, gifts and other special events. 


Assist with volunteer recruitment, planning and customer service for the 2026 AAU Junior Olympic Games. 


Assist with implementation of additional events and projects. 


Assist with projects and duties as assigned by the Director of Sports. 

Requirements

Approximately 15 hours per week in the Spring and 40 hours during Summer.   


Downtown parking provided. 


Knowledge in Microsoft Office. 


Must be present at events taking place in Des Moines; schedule of events will be communicated prior to start date (additional events may be scheduled during internship).  


AAU Junior Olympics July 28-Aug 8, 2026
