Catch Des Moines has an opening for the part time position of Sports Organizer. This position will work with the Sports department on executing events, specifically the AAU Junior Olympic Games. Qualified individuals will possess self-starting skills, attention to detail and work well in a team environment. 

Duties:

Primary responsibility will be organizing and scheduling specific sport equipment, schedule logistics and additional infrastructure to execute the 2026 AAU Junior Olympic Games. 

Assist with hospitality, volunteer recruitment, planning and customer service for the 2026 AAU Junior Olympic Games. 

Assist with implementation of additional events and projects. 

Assist with projects and duties as assigned by the Director of Sports. 

Approximately 15 hours per week in the Spring and 40 hours during Summer.   

Downtown parking provided. 

Knowledge in Microsoft Office. 

Must be present at events taking place in Des Moines; schedule of events will be communicated prior to start date (additional events may be scheduled during internship).
