Crane Spotter
Description

Assemble and fabricate metal cabinets, enclosures, bases, and/or other components.

  • Assist the crane operator by providing clear and precise signals to ensure safe and efficient crane movements.
  • Continuously monitor the work area to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Guide the positioning of loads, ensuring they are moved safely and accurately.
  • Maintain constant communication with the crane operator and other team members to coordinate movements and operations.
  • Conduct pre-operation inspections of rigging and lifting equipment to ensure they are in good condition and safe to use.
  • Stay updated on safety protocols and participate in regular training sessions to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving any issues related to crane operations promptly and efficiently.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred. Equivalent experience may be acceptable.
  • Experience around bridge cranes and advanced rigging.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools, power tools, tape measure, grinders, and saws safely.
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
  • Requires good judgment, and ability to work with others and perform other tasks as assigned.
  • Experience operating a forklift preferred.
Salary Description
$21.00-$28.00/hour
