Long-Term Guest Teachers (K-2) : January-May 2026
Description


We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Long-Term Substitute Teacher to support our early learners in grades K, 1st, and 2nd. 


3 guest teachers needed for these approximate dates:

Mid-January to Early May: 2nd grade coverage

Mid-March to May 22 (end of school year):  Kindergarten coverage (will have a TA as well)

End of March to May 22 (end of school year): 1st grade coverage (will have a TA as well)

Key Responsibilities:

- Implement and follow the teacher’s lesson plans to ensure continuity of instruction

- Plan and prepare instructional activities aligned with curriculum standards

- Foster a positive and engaging classroom environment conducive to learning

- Collaborate with grade level teams and other staff members to coordinate instructional strategies and student support

- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to support their development

- Maintain classroom management and developmental discipline in accordance with school policies

- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and classroom activities

- Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of learners




Requirements

Skills and Qualifications:


-Substitute Certificate minimum

- Experience planning lessons,  long-term subbing or classroom teaching experience

- Prior experience working with young children in an educational setting 

- Strong classroom management and organizational skills

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

- Flexibility and adaptability to changing classroom needs

- Passion for early childhood development and education
