Schedule: Full-time, Awake overnight shifts 
Salary: $20.00
Sign on bonus up to $1000

About ACHIEVE's Residence Program: In the residential program, the most caring people are the trained staff who provide 24-hour supervision, care, and guidance to residents. They assist with personal care needs, cleaning, cooking, medications, and activities. The Direct Support Professional Residential Overnight assists in providing self-care training, therapeutic treatments, and assistance in daily living to developmentally disabled individuals attending the agency's respite facility.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Must stay awake and not place themselves in a compromising position/place that is conducive to sleep; Continuously assess the status of the physical building and the individuals throughout the duration of the shift.
  • Provides individualized care as outlined in the individuals Life Plan, or ISP.
  • Supports the residents to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Observes, documents and communicates pertinent information such as behaviors, nursing, nutrition, clinical issues, etc., to facilitate assessment and development of treatment goals.
  • Gives medications as prescribed by Physician, per OPWDD regulations.
  • Administers therapeutic activities, such as physical exercises, occupational arts and crafts, and recreational games to residents and documents accordingly.
  • Demonstrates and assists with activities such as bathing and dressing to train residents in daily self-care practices.
  • Documents delivery of residential habilitation services per the individual plan and agency procedures.
  • Converses with residents to reinforce positive behaviors and to promote social interaction.
  • Prepares and serves meals and dines with residents to act as a role model.
  • Assists residents in mobility, hygiene, and any other tasks in which assistance or direction is necessary.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
