Job Responsibilities
- Manage and schedule all intracompany and 3rd party assembly locations, including ensuring supply chain needs are scheduled to meet demand.
- Develop and maintain the master production schedule to ensure alignment with demand forecasts and inventory targets.
- Coordinate with production, procurement, and inventory teams to optimize manufacturing efficiency and resource allocation.
- Serves as the central key organizer of all functions (sales, supply chain, production, shipping) in order to accommodate weekly production schedules.
- Analyze production data and adjust schedules to address capacity constraints, material availability, and changing demand.
- Monitor production progress, identify delays or bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to meet delivery deadlines.
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to integrate customer orders and forecasts into the production plan.
- Utilize ERP systems to manage scheduling data and ensure accuracy in production planning processes.
- Conduct regular meetings with cross-functional teams to review and update the production schedule.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in scheduling and production planning.
- Prepare and present production schedule reports and performance metrics to management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all scheduling activities.
Requirements
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in production scheduling or planning in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in production planning software and MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes and production workflows
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and other process improvement methodologies
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to analyze data and generate reports
