The CMS Client Executive will serve as a relationship lead focusing on understanding client goals, driving adoption of CMS capabilities, and identifying opportunities for optimization and growth while maintaining strong, trust-based client partnerships to support long-term success. This role will also support market expansion, align solution to CMS priorities and help implement our growth strategy.
- Build and maintain relationships within CMS and target centers, departments and executives to identify needs and align with Commence’s solutions.
- Collaborate and partner with cross-functional teams to strategize and engage prospective clients to understand business challenges and deliver compelling presentations, solution demonstrations, proposals and oral presentations that result in new business revenue.
- Partner with leadership, capture and support groups to develop and execute strategic and tactical plans that identify and shape new opportunities.
- Support execution of Commence’s growth strategies, including effective and strategic qualification of opportunities.
- Support proposal review efficiency, scoring and compliance verification.
- Support policy summarization and impacts.
- Support continual development and progression of a pipeline of new business opportunities within CMS.
- Work with growth team to establish and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Collaborate with business development, capture and proposal team as assigned, to support opportunity pursuit efforts.
- Engage in negotiations with prospective clients, and teaming partners around business commitments and proposal details.
- Maintain regular contact with senior and executive-level decision makers to ensure alignment and strengthen partnership.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Health Policy, Management, law or related or equivalent experience
- 10+ years working with CMS in leadership or related/relevant roles
- Knowledge of healthcare delivery systems and model frameworks
- Proven track record building and managing relationships with CMS officials, or policy leaders
- Familiarity with CMS’s priorities and how its business and technology needs can become opportunities and procurements
