Description

Job Summary: The Parts Manager is responsible for overseeing the procurement, inventory management, and distribution of parts and equipment for automotive repair services. This role ensures timely availability of parts, manages vendor relationships, and optimizes inventory to support service operations efficiently.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Parts Specialists

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manage parts inventory, ensuring availability and accurate stock levels.
  • Source, order, and receive parts from vendors while negotiating pricing and terms.
  • Coordinate with service and installation teams to fulfill parts needs promptly.
  • Implement inventory control procedures to minimize loss and improve efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of parts usage, orders, and supplier transactions.
  • Develop relationships with suppliers and vendors to secure competitive pricing.
  • Oversee warehouse organization and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Process returns, warranties, and defective parts with vendors.
  • Train and supervise parts department staff
  • Provide excellent customer service when working with internal teams and external clients.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in parts management, preferably in the automotive or equipment repair industry.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive repair equipment and related parts.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and ordering systems.

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Standing, walking, and moving2026 in a warehouse or shop environment.
  • Occasional travel to suppliers or other company locations.
