Description

POSITION SUMMARY: Perform all tasks involved with the order pulling and restocking function. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  • Moving controls, devices, and lever to drive forklifts to transfer materials between unloading, processing, loading, and storage areas 
  • Pick and stage orders, load and unload materials from pallets for shipment 
  • Load and unload trucks with inbound and outbound loads of finished goods 
  • Restock pick lines in warehouse 
  • Relocate product in lines in the warehouse 
  • Perform other duties as allotted by the supervisor 
  • They must know the functions of each department, as they often work throughout the warehouse and perform work for other departments 
  • Must be able to sort and organize merchandise so that it can be easily located 

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: 

  • Work is performed in a warehouse with exposure to noise, dust, fumes and seasonal temperature changes. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

  • Frequent bending and lifting and requires climbing on and off a forklift 
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds 
  • Minimum of 8 hours a day riding, walking and standing 

JOB STATUS: Full Time

FLSA: N/A 

NORMAL WORK HOURS: Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with 1/2 hour unpaid lunch break.

Requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: 

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED 
  • Must be forklift certified 
  • Prior shipping/receiving experience is helpful 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: 

  • Excellent teamwork skills 
  • Ability to read labels and numbers 
  • Ability to operate in high speed and fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to add, subtract, and multiply 
  • Good physical health 
  • Able to follow instructions as directed by the supervisor
