Description
The Warehouse Associate supports the efficient operation of the warehouse through the safe handling, storage, movement, and distribution of materials and products. This role is responsible for receiving shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, preparing customer orders, and ensuring a clean, organized, and safe work environment. The Warehouse Associate works closely with team members to support daily warehouse operations while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Load, unload, move, and store materials using proper handling procedures.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment according to company standards.
- Organize inventory and maintain accurate stock records.
- Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and inventory control processes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
- Support daily warehouse operations and collaborate with team members to meet productivity goals.
- Assist with customer inquiries, returns, and basic service needs as required.
- Identify and communicate inventory, equipment, or safety concerns to leadership.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support business needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- One (1) year or more of warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or related experience preferred.
- Previous forklift experience preferred; certification or willingness to obtain certification may be required.
- Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and follow established safety procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, reaching, and carrying throughout the shift.
- Ability to stand, walk, and remain active for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Basic organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity expectations.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations, safety standards, and quality requirements.
