Hotel Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary


Responsible for the upkeep and repair of the hotel's interior and exterior, ensuring all facilities and equipment meet company standards for quality, safety, and guest satisfaction. 


Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, lighting, and kitchen equipment.
  • Repairs & Troubleshooting: Diagnose and fix issues with room furniture, fixtures, floors, walls, and other property elements.
  • Guest Services: Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and work orders, resolving issues quickly.
  • Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety policies, maintain a safe facility, and ensure compliance with health regulations.
  • ** Groundskeeping:** Assist with maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the hotel's exterior.
  • Project Assistance: Help with special projects, renovations, and meeting room setups.
  • Documentation: Keep accurate logs of maintenance activities, repairs, and safety checks.
  • On-Call Support: May be required to handle after-hours emergencies. 

Skills & Qualifications

  • Mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform various trade tasks (carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical).
  • Strong communication and guest service skills.
  • Physical stamina for demanding tasks.
  • Familiarity with hotel maintenance software is a plus. 

Working Conditions

  • Physically demanding role, requiring varied tasks and potentially on-call availability.
