Summary:
The Service Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the Tool Clamping Systems (TCS) division at AME through a combination of technical, operational, and customer-facing activities. This individual will assist in managing service workflows, perform mechanical repair and assembly tasks, and serve as a point of contact for customer support and partner coordination.
This role is intended for a mechanically inclined professional seeking a long-term career path within the CNC manufacturing and spindle industry. Training and certification opportunities will be provided through AME and international partner headquarters, with a clear “level-up” program for professional growth and development.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Gain proficiency in all aspects of TCS service, repairs, and maintenance.
- Coordinate repair work to ensure timely completion and high-quality standards.
- Provide detailed and accurate customer quotations for TCS repairs and spare parts.
- Collaborate with international partners and internal teams regarding technical, service, and operational matters.
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues with a solution-oriented approach.
- Support inventory control and ensure adequate stock of spare parts.
- Assist with logistics management related to service activities.
- Participate in internal meetings, phone calls, and Virtual meetings as needed.
- Maintain an organized and efficient workspace following 5S principles.
- Participate in training and certification programs.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma/GED required
- Experience: Prior experience in CNC manufacturing, mechanical service, or spindle systems. Knowledge of drawbar mechanisms or comparable tool clamping technologies. Experience in service coordination, customer support, or parts management
- Reading Ability: Must be able to read and understand English
Skills:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfortable working hands-on.
- Basic understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems (preferred).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Solid mathematical and analytical abilities.
- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Effective teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills.

- Willingness to travel (approximately 10–15% annually) to customers and partners.

Physical Demands:
- Be able to lift to 50lbs of weight
- Forklift license or experience with material handling equipment.
- Stand 8+ hours, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to the floor
